What should the drafting brief contain?
A useful brief defines the drawing types, input status, native format, title block, symbol library, numbering rules, review stages and issue dates.

How is drafting quality checked?
Check title blocks, drawing numbers, layers, line types, text, symbols, tags, cross-references, sheet registers and revision notes. A technical check by the responsible engineer is separate.

How are revisions handled?
Record the change source, affected sheets and review status. Do not overwrite the prior issued revision. Keep markups and change notes connected to the updated files.

Can files be returned in native AutoCAD format?
Yes. Agree the DWG version, external references and plotting setup at the start.
What happens when inputs conflict?
The conflict is raised as a review item with both sources. The drafter does not silently choose one.
Is drafting review the same as engineering review?
No. Drafting review checks document quality. The registered engineer checks and signs the engineering.
